Ghaffar Dashtbani, CEO of Piyazar Agro-Industry Company (Ticker: Ghazr), speaking on the sidelines of the 32nd Iran Agrofood International Exhibition 2025, told Shahr Bourse:
“This year, we were fortunate to participate in this important event as part of our internal transformations and reforms. Our objectives are twofold: first, to strengthen the core capabilities of Piyazhar Agro-Industry, and second, to enhance the skills and expertise of our workforce.”
Referring to the company’s long-standing history, he added:
“Piyazhar was established in 1969 and has been operating in the food industry ever since. Over the years, it has carried out various missions and production activities under the Asan brand. However, the key point is that since late last year, significant managerial changes have taken place within the company.”

He noted that the company has structured its goals and budget for the Iranian year 1404 (2025–2026) to target three times the previous year’s production capacity, reflecting its potential and internal capabilities.
Dashtbani continued:
“In the past, the food supply chain relied partially on outsourcing — half of the process was done in-house, and the other half externally. But with the new plans and infrastructure in place, the entire production process — from start to finish — is now conducted internally. This provides us full control over quality and gives us a significant competitive edge, especially because we can fully guarantee the purity and safety of raw materials.”
He added:
“Piyazhar Agro-Industry is a publicly traded company, and naturally, both retail and institutional investors are involved. We’ve prepared evaluation programs that are now being implemented. We expect to deliver good news to our shareholders soon. The hard work put in over the past years is set to bear fruit, and we anticipate achieving the expected growth — making our shareholders satisfied and confident. This is my promise and hope for them.”
Dashtbani also highlighted the role of the new board of directors, led by Shah Ali, who have implemented strategic innovations and diversification in the product lines, leading to meaningful transformations within the company.
He explained that while the company’s sales network was once limited to specific areas, it now has active representation in all provinces. These local representatives are supported by the company to ensure faster delivery of products to end consumers.
He further mentioned the development of a customer feedback and voice-of-customer system, allowing consumers to directly communicate with decision-makers and share their opinions and suggestions to improve product quality.
Discussing the product portfolio, Dashtbani stated:
“The company currently offers around 40 products, some of which are legacy items, while others have been updated and modernized. We are also on the path to launching new, innovative, knowledge-based products. Starting in June, nearly 40 new items with special features will be added to our product basket. These are specifically designed for niche groups such as children, the elderly, and individuals with dietary restrictions, and can have a transformative impact on their nutritional intake.”
He emphasized one of the company’s key differentiators:
“All of our products are plant-based. Due to medical advice and rising costs, the consumption of meats and animal proteins is often limited. Our products are designed to meet over 90% of nutritional needs through plant-based ingredients, which significantly supports healthier and more sustainable dietary habits.”
In conclusion, Dashtbani noted:
“Our presence at the 2025 Iran Agrofood International Exhibition, amid changes in our board of directors, serves as a crucial launching pad for our company’s new objectives. Despite limited preparation time, we have participated with strength and commitment, aiming to serve our valued customers and consumers effectively.”
