Car Market Awaits Dollar Signal/ Forecast Jan 5, 2026

Tomorrow, Jan 5, the car market looks to the Dollar after days of stagnation. With the Dubai market reopening and potential currency fluctuations, showroom owners are preparing to update their price boards.

According to Shahr -e- Bours, trading in the car market on Monday will experience a shift in conditions. In recent days, as the currency market saw little volatility due to the January holidays and the closure in Tehran, car prices had sunk into relative stability and deep recession. However, tomorrow, with the official start of financial markets and the possibility of the Dollar changing channels, car sellers are expected to come out of their defensive shell. Experience shows that the car market’s reaction to currency hikes is rapid, while its response to price drops is slow and sticky.

In the assembled and imported cars sector, sensitivity to the Dollar rate is extremely high. If the Dollar takes an upward trend in the free market tomorrow, we will likely see sellers of Chinese and luxury vehicles vanish from the market by noon. However, in the high-circulation domestic sector (Iran Khodro and Saipa products), a heavier recession prevails, and low purchasing power prevents sharp fluctuations.

Analysts believe the market is currently in a “wait and see” mode. News regarding the import of used cars and deliveries from the integrated system continues to act as speed bumps against price growth. Until the Dollar breaks a new ceiling, the car market lacks the potential for a price surge, and current fluctuations are merely dealer games to heat up the market.

Forecast for Jan 5, 2026: It is predicted that tomorrow, the car market will start the day cautiously. Prices will remain stable until around noon, after which they will choose their direction based on the Dollar’s movement. Consumer buyers are advised that if they intend to purchase, they should finalize the deal in the early hours of the day before potential currency fluctuations occur.
